This nifty Empty Refillable Marker 8mm is a fun and exciting tool to use in the artroom or at home. Simply fill with ink, high flow paint, thinned oil colours or water. Empty Refillable Markers offer accurate handling and application, great for detailed line work or for laying down large amounts of colour. Another great advantage is being able to fill them with a variety of mediums such as non-toxic water-based inks or artist-quality archival paints and mediums. The sky’s the limit!

The marker is equipped with a soft, sturdy felt nib with spring pump action for easy nib priming. The included mixing ball makes it a breeze to keep your paints mixed – simply shake! To achieve exciting colour gradation effects, fill the marker with another colour but don’t wash out the nib from the previous colour. Watch as the colour smoothly transitions from one colour to the next.

To fill, make sure your medium is a liquid such as an ink, acrylic flow paint or oil paint thinned with Art Spectrum Medium #1 or Sennelier Green for Oil Thinner. Unscrew the nib assembly left and pour your ink in the marker barrel. Screw the nib assembly back on and pump the nib up and down on a piece of scrap paper until it is primed with ink. Once you’re done, snap the lid on to stop the nib drying out.

To clean, wash out any remaining ink from the maker barrel. Fill with water and squeeze to pass water through the nib assembly. So easy!
